Enrique plays down Barca records

Luis Enrique has insisted that Barcelona’s post-Levante records “don’t mean anything” after Sunday’s 2-0 win at Ciutat de Valencia.

The Coach marked his 100th game for La Blaugrana with an 80th victory and matched Pep Guardiola’s record of 28 games without defeat as a David Navarro own goal and Luis Suarez’s late finish sealed all three points.

“The wind was an element which hurt both teams,” he said after the game.

“We killed the game off at at the end, but we had to work hard for the whole game.

“My team did everything to win the game. We had a complete game and that’s why we killed it off.

“We continued to create chances after the [own] goal went in, although Levante could have equalised before half-time.

“Reaching 100 games is good, but it doesn’t mean anything.

“When the season ends, we’ll know whether our [unbeaten] record of 28 games is worth something.”
