Confirmation of Pep Guardiola’s appointment for next season at Manchester City has sparked speculation around Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Neymar.
Sport reports the British Press claiming Guardiola will spend the war chest provided by the Premier League club on either the Argentine or the Brazilian, among others.
Guardiola is said to have €200m to work with and could spend €190m of it on Neymar, according to one report, or €160m on Messi, to partner him with international colleague Sergio Aguero.
There is also speculation Guardiola could rival Barca for Juventus’ Paul Pogba and Evertons’ John Stones.
Yaya Toure is though said to have an uncertain future after he and Guardiola fell out while Pep was on the Barca bench.
