Official: Granada in Watford double deal

Granada have announced the loan arrival of Watford new boy Abdoulaye Doucoure, while the Hornets have signed Venezuelan starlet Adalberto Penaranda.

Doucoure only joined Watford from Rennes on Monday, reportedly in a club-record deal worth €8m, but the midfielder will nonetheless spend the next six months at Los Carmenes.

Penaranda, meanwhile, has had his economic rights transferred from Udinese – another Pozzo-owned club – to the Premier League side, although he will remain with Granada until the end of next season.

The 18-year-old began the campaign with Granada’s B team but was quickly promoted to the seniors and has already scored four goals in nine La Liga appearances.
