Unai Emery says he is confident Ever Banega will return to the Sevilla squad in the next few days, despite speculation over the midfielder’s future.
The Argentine has missed Los Nervionenses last two games with an injury, amidst reports he has agreed to join Inter in the summer, with his contract set to expire, but the Coach expects normal service to resume this week.
“It’s difficult to maintain the level of demand in the competitions we want to be in,” he said after Sevilla’s 3-1 win against Levante in La Liga on Sunday.
“After Thursday’s game at Mirandes in the cup, it was difficult to follow that up, but the team did so.
“[Grzegorz Krychowiak] suffered a sprained MCL in one knee, so we must be patient with him.
“[On Banega], it’s possible he’ll return to the squad this week [and be available for the first leg against Celta].”
