Vazquez close to Madrid exit

Lucas Vazquez is said to have a ‘foot-and-a-half’ outside Real Madrid as he’s not going to get playing time under Zinedine Zidane.

Marca reports Vazquez could be allowed to leave before the transfer window closes on Monday and if he does exit Santiago Bernabeu, a loan is the most likely option.

Vazquez spent last season at Espanyol and Los Periquitos are said to be interested again, but Marca notes some unnamed La Liga clubs may have moved ahead of the Catalans already.

The 24-year-old has made 15 appearances for Madrid this season, scoring once, but hasn’t gotten onto the pitch at all since Zidane replaced Rafa Benitez in early January.
