Diego Simeone insists he isn’t looking past the Copa del Rey quarter-final second leg with Celta Vigo despite Barcelona waiting in the League.

The Cup tie is goalless from the first leg at Balaidos and Cholo doesn’t want to think too much about Barca until it is out of the way.

“I’m only focusing on Celta. There’s a lot [before Barca]. It would be dangerous to not think [about Celta],” he said, AS reports.

“The Celta game is the most difficult because its next. We know it’ll be difficult and what to expect. They’ve grown a lot. It will be very intense.

“I haven’t talked to Eduardo Berizzo. We’ll play as if it was a final. We think of ourselves, the importance of the Cup, how good it has been to us. We have great affection and respect [for the Copa del Rey].”

Simeone was asked by a reporter if he will make changes for the Celta tie with the Barca game in mind and hinted in his reply that it’ll be a strong team for the visit of the Galicians.

“There’s no guarantee. If I rest 10 players [against Celta] it’s not certain we win on Saturday,” he explained.

“We’ll choose who is at their best for the game.”
