Chelsea have asked Real Madrid about Dani Carvajal, it’s claimed, and the right-back is showing signs of discontent.
Fichajes.net reports the interest of the Premier League champions and says that while Florentino Perez has ruled out any signings, departures may be another matter.
Carvajal is said to be concerned that Zinedine Zidane might favour Danilo over him for the right-back spot and indeed was left out of the starting XI for the weekend draw with Real Betis.
The cantera product had been a regular in the side since returning to Madrid from Bayer Leverkusen but Rafa Benitez rotated him out of the team more frequently than Carlo Ancelotti had, Danilo having been signed earlier in 2015 for the current season.
Zidane has so far followed suit in his early tenure on the bench and Carvajal could seek a fresh start this summer.
