Diego Simeone has discussed the situations of Oliver Torres and Fernando Torres, the former linked with a transfer and the latter’s contract expiring.
Fernando Torres, on loan at Atletico Madrid from Milan, will be a free agent in the summer, and Simeone declined to say if an offer would be made to keep the striker.
“We believe in day by day, game by game. Other than that, I can’t imagine anything else having my attention,” he said, AS reports.
“I spoke to Oliver two months ago. I said the same thing I said earlier this season. He’s a great player, one of few we have in transition from defence to attack.
“He tries, he works, he’s competitive, a good lad in the group and he doesn’t give up.
“I’m happy with the intentions of other teams with a lot of money, important around the world, to look at our players. It speaks well of them and the work they do for Atletico.”
