Conflicting reports have either Barcelona or Real Madrid leading the chase for Schalke’s Leroy Sane.
AS cites France Football as saying the Catalans are in the driving seat, ahead of Madrid and Manchester City, going so far as to claim Sane and Barca have already agreed a six-year contract.
Barca will reportedly meet Sane’s release clause, which stands at €37m, but Schalke have denied the existence of such a stipulation.
The Guardian meanwhile says it’s Madrid at the front of the pack for the 19-year-old midfielder, with a view to a summer move as their policy of snapping up young talent continues.
AS notes the Guardian say more than €40m would be required to get Sane out of Gelsenkirchen.
