Victor Sanchez believes Getafe’s individual talents could cause harm to Deportivo La Coruna when the sides meet on Wednesday and praised Fran Escriba
The match is a special one as Victor began his coaching career at the Madrid club, and sees today’s version as a well-drilled side under Escriba.
“They’re a very organised team, the attacking aspect works well and they have good individual players in attack,” he noted, Marca reports.
“Getafe was the first professional club where I started as a Coach and now they’re in the Primera.
“Escriba seems a sensational Coach, we have a great relationship, we maintained contact before I was a head Coach, he opened the door at Elche. He’s a fantastic Coach and it’s showing.”
Victor’s contract has been in the air of late with President Tino Fernandez saying he has proposed a renewal in line with the term of his office, but Victor said little when pressed on the issue.
“There’s nothing more to add that what has been said already by the President. We’re focused on the sporting work, which is what matters,” he insisted.
