‘Ronaldo will stay until he’s 40’

Jorge Mendes has reiterated that Cristiano Ronaldo will finish his career at Real Madrid and continue playing until he is 40.

Speculation persists that the Portuguese will have left Los Blancos by the expiration of his contract in 2018, but the agent insists there is no desire on his client’s part to abandon ship.

“[Ronaldo’s] the best of all time and will play probably another four, five, six or seven years at Madrid,” he is quoted as saying by AS.

“He’ll finish his career there. He’s happy as a Blanco and he’ll hang up his boots when he’s 40.

“[Jose Mourinho] is currently in Brazil, we’ll see what happens when he returns.

“Returning to Italy? He hasn’t spoken to anyone in England, Spain or Italy.

“He must be calm and not worry about anything. He’s the best Coach in the world.”
