Neymar is expected to miss Saturday’s League game against Deportivo La Coruna and his participation in Barcelona’s Club World Cup campaign is doubtful too.
The forward was injured in training on Tuesday, Barca reporting a minor groin problem, but the club haven’t released information as to how long the Brazil international is expected to miss.
Mundo Deportivo suggests that Neymar won’t make it back in time for the Catalans’ Japanese excursion, with the first match to come on December 17 against either Club America of Mexico or China’s Guangzhou Evergrande.
Barca have only said that the length of Neymar’s absence will depend on how the injury develops but the indication from the Catalan Press is that next week will be too soon for Neymar, and the final, on December 20, is also a question mark, should Barca reach it.
