Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has pointed to Porto’s Iker Casillas as ‘an idol’ as the teams prepare to face each other in the Champions League.
Courtois, who spent three years with Atletico Madrid and was part of the team that won the Primera title and reached the Champions League final, cited the Real Madrid icon as one of his favourite-ever players.
“Casillas was one of my idols. I’ve played a lot of games against him and he is a great goalkeeper with great reflexes,” the Belgium international said, Marca reports.
“It will be difficult for our forwards to beat him, but I hope we can score some goals.”
