Report: Arsenal in Nolito talks

Arsenal are already in talks with Celta Vigo for Nolito, reports in Spain claim, and the Spain international could triple his salary by moving to England.

Mundo Deportivo say a fee of €19m has been tabled by the Gunners, more than Nolito’s release clause, as Arsene Wenger looks for more options in attack after Danny Welbeck’s injury.

Arsenal’s interest in Nolito is a blow to Luis Enrique, the report adds, as the Barcelona Coach had wanted his former charge brought to Camp Nou in the winter market.

Barca haven’t however made an approach to Celta for Nolito though they are aware of Arsenal’s move in the market.

Nolito had almost agreed a contract renewal at Balaidos, with only final details on the terms outstanding, but negotiations came to a halt when Barca’s interest became clear.

But Barca have had to back away from Nolito due to financial considerations, the Catalans instead hoping for a January loan and permanent summer signing, but no such deal with Celta for Nolito is in the works.
