Atletico Madrid will host Galatasaray looking for three points, not the one that would confirm Champions League progress, Diego Simeone has said.
A draw will send Atleti through to the knockout rounds but Cholo doesn’t want his side going into Wednesday night’s game with that attitude.
“It’s best to win and that’s what we’re prepared for. We always want to win,” he told a Press conference, AS reports.
Gala have appointed a new Coach, title-winner in the 1980s Mustafa Denizli, and Simeone discussed the trainer’s arrival.
“We’ll focus on the players, who have great experience. They’ve scored six times in the past two games, which speaks of a team strong in front of goal,” he noted.
“We work based on their characteristics, and they have the Turkish character of never giving up. They’ll have energy to fight for their options.”
