Lux: Depor home form crucial

Deportivo La Coruna goalkeeper German Lux believes the team’s home form will be what sees them avoid relegation and talked saving a penalty in the derby.

Lux kept out Nolito from 12 yards as Depor beat Celta Vigo in the all-Galicia affair and suggested his save mattered more because it came in a win.

“If we lose the game there’s not much talk about saving a penalty, but it was important because the team won,” he told a Press conference, AS reports.

“We studied everything, where every Celta player puts a penalty. I was lucky but there’s a lot of merit because both Manu Sotelo [Depor’s goalkeeper’s coach] and the Coach give us this information to analyse.”

The victory moves Depor to eighth in La Liga after 12 games and Lux expects further home success will see the team safe.

“We always want to win and be strong at Riazor, because it would be the basis of staying up,” he continued.

“I’m happy because we played well and achieved a good result. Games like Celta are very important. I trust in my condition and I’m happy with what I’m doing.”
