Dani Garcia has agreed a new contract with Eibar, the midfielder signing a two-year deal with the Basque club.
Marca notes Garcia is one of the captains at Ipurua and has been a regular in Eibar’s two years in the Primera, first under Gaizka Garitano and now Jose Luis Mendilibar.
The 25-year-old has made more than 100 appearances for Los Armeros, having been at Real Sociedad’s youth academy.
Garcia never played a game for La Real and instead began his professional career with Alicante, before a spell with Getafe B and a move, initially on loan, to Eibar in 2012.
He signed permanently in 2014 when Eibar were promoted from La Segunda, and spoke of his pleasure at extending his stay.
“I want to continue growing here. I’m very happy at Eibar,” he noted.
“Personally, the goal for this season is business as usual, to improve and play as much as possible.”
