Borges suffers fractured foot

Deportivo La Coruna midfielder Celso Borges needs an operation after fracturing the fifth metatarsal of his left foot and will be out for up to four months.

AS reports the injury was suffered while on international duty with Costa Rica and after Borges returned to A Coruna and Depor’s medical team conducted their assessment, the decision was made for surgery.

The procedure will take place this week and the estimated recovery time is between three and four months, which AS calculates will see Borges miss between 12 and 16 League games.
