Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has fuelled speculation that he could work with Jose Mourinho again by simply answering “why not” when posed the question.
The Portuguese worked with his countryman at the Santiago Bernabeu between 2010 and 2013, winning a La Liga title and the Copa del Rey, and he refused to rule out the possibility of one day revisiting their relationship.
“Working with Mourinho again? Why not?” he said at the London premiere for his documentary film Ronaldo on Monday.
“I have two years left on my contract with Real Madrid, but the future? No-one knows.”
However, his agent Jorge Mendes, who was present at the premiere, along with Mourinho, was certain that he would see out the remainder of his career at Madrid.
“Cristiano will end his career at Real Madrid,” he replied.
“He loves Manchester United and Real Madrid, but his career will end in Madrid.”
