Angel Di Maria believes Paris Saint-Germain played their best game of the season despite losing to Real Madrid.
Di Maria, a 2014 Champions League winner with Madrid, returned to Santiago Bernabeu in the 1-0 defeat that the visitors arguably dominated, losing to a Nacho goal.
“We’ve played our best game of the season, an outstanding display. We made one mistake and were punished,” he lamented, Mundo Deportivo reports.
“We were 10 times better than Madrid. We have to continue along that line. Sometimes you need a little luck. I’m convinced this team can do great things. The Champions League is hard and long.”
