‘Sevilla not thinking about Betis’

Vicente Iborra insists Sevilla’s minds are on the next game, against Villarreal, and not the future derby with Real Betis.

Iborra was part of a ceremony, with President Jose Castro and teammate Vitolo, to present a boat for the Sevilla-Betis boat race in the weekend’s Regatta, but said the team was more concerned with the Yellow Submarine.

“We’ve got some important games but the most important is Villarreal. Winning would be an important step,” Iborra said, Marca reports.

“We haven’t started in the best way but we’re confident the results are going to arrive.

“All matches are important to us. We don’t care [about the derby] today. We’re concerned with our situation and with Villarreal.

“Our goal is to win [at El Madrigal] because we’ve gone a long time without winning away. They’re an opponent we’ll be fighting all season and it would be an important win.”
