Real Sociedad boss David Moyes has made it clear that his job is safe ahead of Sunday’s trip to Levante in La Liga.

Moyes’ position has come under increasing scrutiny after guiding La Real to only one win since the start of season, but he insists he has been given assurances that he will be able to see out his contract, which expires next summer.

“I feel the commitment of the club and the players in me, and we’re trying to get good results,” he said at a Press conference

“I speak every day [with President Jokin Aperribay]. I have a contract until June 30 and no decisions will be taken until then.

“Levante have a very strong and powerful team. They play a direct game and have two good strikers and a defence which is difficult to break down. It’ll be a tough match.

“Yuri [Berchiche, who will replace Alberto de la Bella at left-back] did very well in preseason.

“[On Carlos Vela, who has yet to score this season], he remains very good and very important.”
