Real Betis Coach Pepe Mel has reportedly turned down an offer to take charge of Mexican side Xolos de Tijuana.
AS reports the approach was made after Xolos sacked Ruben Omar Romano on Saturday, and made contact with both Betis and Mel himself.
Mel, under contract at Benito Villamarin until 2017, replied he was happy at his current club and in the city of Seville.
AS notes it’s the second offer Mel has received from Mexico in recent months after Guadalajara tried to tempt him away from La Liga.
