Enrique: Barca getting stronger

Luis Enrique believes Barcelona are getting stronger after a win over BATE Borisov he believed had the echoes of an early-season display.

Barca were 2-0 winners in Borisov through Ivan Rakitic’s brace and the Coach declared himself happy after the final whistle.

“I’m satisfied, yes, very, for everything in general. It’s never easy to play away from home in the Champions League with this solvency,” he said, AS reports.

“We’ve created a lot of chances but we’ve encountered with the dynamic we have early in the season, not finishing most chances. It was a complete game and it strengthens us.

“We’re getting stronger. In football, you must always have the aim of improving. It’s not that we did terribly, but we had to change.

“We’ll come back and improve on some aspects. I’m sure we can improve in defensive situations. It’s not black or white. Against Rayo Vallecano there was improvement.

“Last season, without going further, certain games we didn’t concede and we deserved it.

“Slowly, we’re growing. All of this allows us to reinforce.”
