Neymar has admitted that he is “very sad” with Santos’ conduct in the controversy surrounding his Barcelona transfer two years ago.
FIFA last week opened an investigation into the deal which took the forward to Camp Nou in 2013 at the request of his former club, who believe they were wrongly compensated, although they quickly denied demanding the player be banned for six months.
“I don’t want to talk about Santos, for me [the matter with them] has passed,” he told BeIN Sports.
“Of course, I’m very sad but I won’t talk about them.
“[My Barca renewal] is on track, even though I still have many years left on my current contract. I’m calm about signing on.”
