Spurs, Newcastle want Sandro?

Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle are vying to take Sandro Ramirez from Barcelona in January and he’d cost €10m with a buy-back clause.

Sport reports the long-standing interest of the Magpies in the Masia product and Newcastle are thought to have approached Barca about Sandro over the summer.

Barca rebuffed the advance as they couldn’t make any signings to account for Sandro’s possible departure but in January they may add Nolito from Celta Vigo, potentially freeing Sandro to move on

La Blaugrana would require an arrangement similar to the one that took Adama Traore to Aston Villa, with the same price tag and same buy-back option.

Sandro isn’t necessarily looking to leave Camp Nou, though, and any move depends on his acceptance.

Should Nolito or any other forward arrive in the winter market then Sandro is more likely to be open to switching clubs, and indeed Barca may need Sandro to leave in order to free up the space for a new face.
