Villarreal could offer Rodrigo De Paul a way out of Valencia after the midfielder fell from favour under Coach Nuno Santo.
Super Deporte say that the Argentine, who it’s noted turned down Inter, Arsenal and Udinese to move to Mestalla in 2014, is not happy at having sat out the majority of Los Che matches so far this season.
De Paul caught the eye in Valencia’s pre-season games, the publication adds, but as the campaign has gone on his involvement has been steadily reduced.
Villarreal Coach Marcelino is watching the situation and is thought to be a fan of the 21-year-old, but as it stands De Paul would like to fight for his place at his current club.
If he decides that’s a fight he can’t win, however, a switch to El Madrigal could be a potential solution.
