Marcelino has challenged Villarreal to dominate their Europa League group following Thursday's 1-0 victory over Viktoria Plzen.
Leo Baptistao continued his rich vein of form in front of goal by scoring the winner against the Czech outfit for the Yellow Submarine's first win on the continent this season, and the Coach is now intent on seeing his side take Group E by storm.
“I hope Leo continues scoring goals. His goal in Vienna gave him confidence, and he's in great form at the moment,” he said after the game.
“With respect to the other teams, we're the best team in our group and we have to prove it game by game.
“[The group] is in our hands after [Thursday's] game, and that's what we wanted.
“We had many opportunities to take an early lead but lacked effectiveness in front of goal.
“I believe we showed a lot of rhythm and arrived in their box many times, and it's true that we lost command but not control [of the game].”
