Sevilla President Jose Castro has rejected the suggestion there’s reason to doubt Unai Emery’s future on the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan bench.
Los Rojiblancos struggled in the early going of the League campaign, picking up only two points from five games before beating Rayo Vallecano on Saturday.
“To think there are now doubts with the Coach is outrageous and irresponsible,” Castro replied when asked by reporters about the trainer, AS reports.
“The Emery question makes no sense. He is our Coach and he has given us success and we are confident in him. He guarantees success and good work.
“We know the League has started as it has but we have full faith that this is just going to be an anecdote.
“There are no doubts about anything. We believe the planning was superb and we have a great deal of confidence in Monchi.
“It’s true we haven’t started well and we have played badly but we’re calm because the potential of the workforce is much higher than the standing in the table.”
