Xavi Hernandez admits his Al Sadd teammates were at first intimidated by his presence, but not anymore. ‘Now they try to nutmeg me!’
The World Cup winner left Barcelona at the end of last season to move to Qatar and has been visited by reporters from Marca after making his debut.
“It doesn’t matter that I’m here. It’s still annoying when I mess up a pass. I can’t stand it,” Xavi admitted as he discussed life away from La Liga.
“I was surprised by the technical level of the League. At first my teammates were a bit shy, but now they try to nutmeg me.
“I’m enjoying the game more than ever.”
