Barca step up winger chase?

Nolito, Jesus Navas, Carlos Vela and Antonio Candreva are reportedly among a list of targets drawn up by Barcelona as they consider replacing Pedro Rodriguez.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalans will sign a forward in January if performances during the first half of the season fail to meet expectations, despite the impending eligibility of new boys Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal.

Barca are currently pinning their hopes on canteras Sandro Ramirez and Munir El Haddadi to grow into the role of Pedro's replacement, but this has not stopped them from pursuing external options.

Celta Vigo star Nolito [pictured] remains La Blaugrana's top target, MD claims, with the 28-year-old now in the prime of his career, although his release clause was recently raised to €30m.

Lower down the list, Carlos Vela's penchant for goals over his four seasons with Real Sociedad is understood to have caught the eye, while Manchester City's Jesus Navas could be targeted as his contract expires in 2017 and competition for places at the Etihad Stadium has intensified due to the arrivals of Raheem Sterling and Kevin Be Bruyne.

Last but not least, Barca are known to be admirers of Lazio's Antonio Candreva for his reliability and experience, although he is at the bottom of the totem pole.

If moves for the aforementioned do not materalise then the treble-winners will reportedly look at Karim Bellarabi, Domenico Berardi, Riyad Mahrez, Florian Thauvin, Lasse Schone and Theo Walcott.
