Angel Correa is targeting trophies with Atletico Madrid and wants the young players the club are betting on to rise to the challenge.
Correa was speaking in a video along with new teammates Luciano Vietto and Yannick Ferreira Carrasco, the trio signed by Los Rojiblancos over the summer, and Correa pointed to the Neptuno Fountain, where Atleti traditionally celebrate their triumphs.
“Hopefully we go there this season, as soon as possible,” Correa said, Marca reports.
“Atletico are betting on young players. There’s a coaching staff that helps us grow and we want to continue.
“The three of us are the fastest at the club. We offer that option,” Vietto added, confirming he ‘knows what Neptuno means.’
“Before I came here I spoke to Thibaut Courtois,” Carrasco continued, citing his Belgium teammate who spent three years at Vicente Calderon.
“He told me I could learn a lot here.”
