Real Madrid President Florentino Perez reportedly visited the club’s training ground to speak to Keylor Navas about the botched move for David De Gea.
De Gea was supposed to move to Madrid from Manchester United and Navas go the other way, only for the deadline to pass with no deal done and the clubs blaming each other.
It had been reported that Navas, now first-choice at Madrid until at least January, would look to exploit the situation by requesting a new contract.
AS meanwhile says Perez was on Wednesday at Valdebebas and spent two hours talking with the Costa Rica international.
Cuatro is cited as the source that says Perez and general manager Jose Sanchez apologised to Navas for the farce.
