Malaga may have to wait before they can field loan signing Hachim Mastour as the player’s young age complicates his move from Milan.
AS reports that as Mastour is only 17, the normal process of a transfer doesn’t apply, and FIFA will have to sign off on the operation as they would for the move of any under-18 player.
Malaga are aware of the situation and are willing to wait, even though it could take months before a resolution is found.
Mastour has completed a medical to move to La Rosaleda but is due back in Italy to collect his belongings and complete some of the FIFA paperwork.
It’s expected that both club and player will be given the go-ahead to complete the two-year move by the end of the week, or perhaps the start of next week.
