Real Betis have been linked with a move for Porto striker Adrian Lopez after a move for Swansea City’s Michu was ruled out.

Sevilla ABC cite a report from Portugal that says Betis are considering a bid for the former Atletico Madrid striker, of whom sporting director Eduardo Macia is a fan and has spoken to Adrian’s agent, Jorge Mendes, about the player.

Betis would have to pay part of his €1.5m-a-year wages but Porto Coach Julen Lopetegui doesn’t have Adrian in his plans for the new season and Adrian is open to going to Betis.

The Primera new boys had been linked to Michu but can’t find an agreement with the Premier League club and Adrian appears to be Betis’ new target.
