Marco Asensio has been loaned by Real Madrid to Espanyol, reports say, and the move will be confirmed in the very near future.
AS claim the deal is done while Marca say it will be completed soon, the latter suggesting the reason Asensio didn’t take part in Tuesday’s Trofeo Santiago Bernabeu was to avoid injury and hamper his switch to Cornella El-Prat.
Both Madrid-based publications agree that Espanyol set their sights on Asensio when Madrid took Kiko Casilla, AS saying President Joan Collet has spent the last month ushering the move over the line.
