Gero Rulli hopes to use his Real Sociedad form to force his way into Tata Martino’s Argentina squad.
Rulli has returned to Anoeta for another year after speculation he would instead sign for Valencia, but spoke of his happiness at being part of David Moyes’ squad.
“My goal this year is to improve on what we did last year,” he said, AS reports.
“My teammates have always supported me and that makes me feel important. I’m happy to be part of the team and [the friendly against Panathinaikos] will be a presentation to the fans who encourage us.
“I’ll train hard to be in the Argentina squad.”
