Arsenal reportedly had representatives at the UEFA Super Cup between Barcelona and Sevilla to watch Grzegorz Krychowiak.
The Sevilla midfielder was deployed in defence for the nine-goal thriller as Unai Emery’s squad was depleted by illness and injury.
It’s reported by the Daily Telegraph that the Gunners are weighing up meeting the Poland international’s release clause of €30m [£22m].
Krychowiak is said to be open to the idea of joining a Premier League club, particularly one that competes in the Champions League, although he will take part in the competition this season with Sevilla.
