Porto Coach Julen Lopetegui has confirmed former Atletico Madrid striker Adrian will be allowed to leave the club.
Super Deporte quotes Lopetegui as confirming Adrian is no longer part of the club’s plans, but refused to criticise the player.
“It’s clear a decision has been taken and now we have to see what is best for each party,” he said.
“Sometimes when things are not going well, we’re all a little guilty.”
Super Deporte note Adrian left Atletico for Porto a year ago at a cost of €11m, the Portuguese giants taking 60% of his registration.
But injuries and competition for places limited Adrian’s effectiveness and he played only 18 times last season.
Adrian has four years left on his contract with Porto and his exit will be handled by his agent, Jorge Mendes.
