Laurent Blanc has reiterated Paris Saint-Germain’s desire to keep Atletico Madrid target Thiago Motta but admits “there are things that are out of our control”.
The Italy midfielder was forced to play the second half of PSG’s 1-0 victory over Lille on Friday following Adrien Rabiot’s 28th-minute dismissal, despite having been absent throughout pre-season.
“We want to keep Motta, but there are things that are out of our control,” he said after the game.
“I still believe he’s very important [to the team].”
