Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano have returned early to training with Barcelona, and Neymar and Dani Alves are back too.
The South Americans were given extended breaks after the Copa America, with Brazilians Neymar and Alves reporting back on Thursday.
AS notes, however, that the Argentines were originally allowed to stay away until August 5 but chose to return a week early, with Neymar and Alves.
Neymar and Alves were due back before Messi and Mascherano as Argentina’s Copa America involvement ran longer, Tata Martino’s side reaching the final, where they lost to hosts Chile.
It’s understood they want to be in good shape for the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla, which takes place in Georgia on August 11.
