Iker Casillas has thanked everyone involved with Porto for helping him settle in to his new club so quickly after leaving Real Madrid.
Casillas posted a statement on his official website which commended the players, fans and staff, as well as his family, for making the switch easy.
“I’m very excited [by the reception] and the affection of the fans is the biggest prize an athlete can achieve,” he remarked, AS reports.
“I can’t be any more grateful for the affection I’ve received from my teammates, the fans, the club, my family and my friends. I feel at home in less than a month.”
