Marc Bartra insists “I have everything” at Barcelona and “feeling important in a team like this one is special”.
The fourth-choice centre-back had been linked with a departure from Camp Nou ahead of next season, with Napoli understood to be leading the race for his signature, but he has made it clear that La Blaugrana are the only club for him.
“Every year, the same thing [my future] is discussed [in the media], but my only thought was and remains staying at Barca,” he was quoted as saying by Marca.
“I have everything here and feeling important in a team like this one is special.
“My personal objective is to win, not only for myself but also for the team. I approach the season, hoping to keep improving.
“[On the €30,000 fine handed out to Barca for their fans’ display of Catalan flags during the Champions League final], the fans don’t deserve this punishment.”
