The agent of Monaco defender Aymen Abdennour has reportedly flown into Barcelona for talks with La Blaugrana over a possible transfer.
According to L’Equipe, Abdelkader Jilan landed in Catalonia on Thursday with the intention of offering his client to the treble winners.
The 25-year-old has a reported market value of €10m and was previously linked with Atletico Madrid prior to their capture of Stefan Savic earlier in the week.
It is understood that Jilan proposed a deal which would have seen Abdennour loaned back to Monaco until January 2016, when Barca’s transfer embargo runs its course.
The story comes in spite of President Josep Maria Bartomeu’s recent admission that Barca’s squad for next season had been finalised with the arrivals of Aleix Vidal and Arda Turan.
