Luis Enrique confirms he and Pedro Rodriguez have held talks and says the winger will be the one to decide his Barcelona future – if his escape clause is met.
Enrique was speaking after Barcelona beat LA Galaxy 2-1 in a friendly, Luis Suarez and Sergi Roberto getting the goals while Tommy Meyer netted for the Americans.
“I’ve said that if Pedro goes it will be when someone has paid his clause. If that doesn’t happen, it will be difficult,” Marca quotes Enrique as saying post-match.
“I have spoken with Pedro. I told him what I think and he told me what he thinks. When the player makes a decision something will happen. The decision belongs to Pedro.”
Enrique also dismissed talk of Adriano wanting to quit Barca for Roma as ‘rumours’ before touching on the match itself.
“I’m happy but there are things to improve. The feelings are positive. We did some things well and want to repeat that. The players had good rhythm and I’m happy,” he acknowledged.
