Andres Iniesta has set a lofty goal for Barcelona, telling a UNICEF event that the team will try to repeat last season’s treble.
Iniesta and Barca are in Los Angeles for a pre-season tour and the midfielder was joined by Marc-Andre Ter Stegen at a charity event.
“We’ll try and repeat the treble and that’s what we’re working for. No one has ever done it twice. We have a lot of work ahead and we know it will be difficult to do it again,” AS reports Iniesta saying.
“Sport and football are a tool to teach children. They see us as role models and that is a responsibility. We always want to convey our best, what we have learned in training and from our parents.
“We’ve got the opportunity to do what we love but there is a negative side. Playing football is a pleasure. Sometimes you’d rather not be known, but football has given me a lot of positives. It’s a privilege to be involved with this organisation.”
