Enrique rules out Arda exit

Luis Enrique has ruled out the possibility of Arda Turan being loaned out, despite Barcelona’s transfer ban rendering the midfielder ineligible until January.

Speaking at his first Press conference of the new season, ahead of La Blaugrana’s American tour, which commences with LA Galaxy on Tuesday, the Coach also touched on Lionel Messi’s absence, his ambitions for the remainder of 2015 and general disdain for long-distance travelling.

“Messi’s season has almost been eternal and he needs to rest,” he said.

“Messi’s not in the United States because he needs a holiday.

“First and foremost, I want to win three more trophies this year.

“My only challenge is to achieve something historic, something which hasn’t been achieved before. That’s my stimulus.

“[Arda Turan] can’t play until January. It’s not ideal, but I want him to stay with us until then.

“He’s not being considered at the moment, neither will the transfer of Arda Turan be considered.

“I prefer not to tour. It poses more problems than positives.”
