Casillas delighted with Porto debut

Iker Casillas made his Porto debut on Saturday as he played the first 45 minutes of his new side’s 2-0 friendly victory over Duisburg.

The 34-year-old, who finalised his move from Real Madrid to Portugal earlier in the week, was joined by three other Spaniards in Ivan Marcano, Jose Angel and fellow new boy Alberto Bueno.

“I played my first match with Porto and the feeling was very good. Looking forward to starting the season!” he wrote on his official Twitter account after the game.

Although he was not overworked by the Germans’ attack, Casillas did not concede and was replaced at half-time by Helton.
