Sevilla have confirmed the signing of Brazilian right-back Mariano from Bordeaux for a fee reportedly in the region of €3m, subject to a medical.
The 29-year-old is due to land in Andalucia on Sunday night, before undergoing physical examinations the following morning.
He has also agreed a three-year contract with the Europa League winners, a buyout clause of €20m and reacquaints himself with former Bordeaux teammate Benoit Tremoulinas.
Mariano joined Les Girondins from Fluminense in January 2012 and went on to make 173 appearances for the club, winning the Coupe de France in 2013.
He effectively replaces Diogo Figueiras, who recently departed for Italian side Genoa.
