Valencia linked with goalkeeping trio

Valencia have been linked with Salvatore Sirigu, Victor Valdes and David Ospina as they look to sign a new goalkeeper.

First choice shot-stopper Diego Alves suffered knee ligament damage in May, a setback which is expected to rule him out until the new year.

Valencia Coach Nuno Espirito Santo admitted his side are in the market for a new goalkeeper last week and, according to Superdeporte, Sirigu, Valdes and Ospina could be realistic options for the Mestalla outfit.

Sirigu could leave current club PSG should he let it be known that he wants to, while Valdes’ days at Manchester United appear to be numbered.

The arrival at Arsenal of Peter Cech meanwhile means Ospina has fallen further down the pecking order at Emirates Stadium.
